Brief overview:

• Incorporated in march 1985. Originally the business was primarily engineering and consulting to automotive and electronics manufacturers.
• 1986 we recognized the need to machine and fabricate hardware for the equipment we were engineering in order to broaden out and remain competitive.
  Started a manufacturing facility in addition to the existing engineering facility and began light fabrication of hardware for the equipment we were supplying to automotive and electronics manufacturers.
• In the spring of 1989 STI moved into a new facility with initial square footage of 8,500 square feet for manufacturing and 2,000 square feet of office space with expansion capability up to 4o,000 square feet as business dictates.
• Phase 1 expansion was completed in the fall of 1994 with the addition of 7,000 square feet of manufacturing space bringing the total to 14,000 square feet (excluding office space).
• In 1995 we expanded our engineering and manufacturing capabilities with the opening of a 5,000 square foot facility in roanoke, virginia called systems technology of virginia.
• Systems technology of virginia purchased an 8,000 square foot building just outside of roanoke in the fall of 1999 and occupied the building in august of 2000.
• Sold STI of virginia llc to the minority member in january 2007
• Attained I.S.O 9002 certification in may of 1999.
• Attained I.S.O 9001/2000 certification in oct 2003.

Current business status:

• Business and customer base is broad and diversified (40 active customer accounts)
• Twenty three (23) employees based in myrtle beach, sc with an annual payroll of approximately $1 million (excluding fringe benefits)
• Employees are a mixture of engineering professionals, skilled technicians and administrative staff.
